Salmon Disease in Dogs

Salmon disease is caused by Neorickettsia helminthoeca (rickettsia) infected flukes, parasites commonly found in salmon and harmless on their own.

Symptoms are very similar to parvovirus and ninety percent of dogs die if not treated.
